Outreaches on skill training programs

This is one of the core programs of Y.E.U, under these outreaches we organize workshops, seminars mainly centering on poverty eradication among our target beneficiary groups. Y.E.U has been transforming the lives of many youth, through her members who empowered several of them individually by sharing in many sections like small business starting and implementation, Counseling on HIV/AIDS pandemic, income generating projects, Jobs searching, career selection, community development and talks on several agricultural practices among others.
We have succeeded in organizing two workshops [Youth weeks] in Mukono and Buikwe districts largely focusing on eradicating extreme poverty among our target groups. This year’s theme in all the Youth weeks was Utilizing knowledge & Let your little money work for you.
With the under listed objectives and many inspirational messages from well experienced individuals of these communities, youth who attended benefited a lot from these workshops.

Lugazi Youth week
This was organized on 16th November 2010 at Lugazi town council community hall. As Y.E.U we started our preparation earlier by drafting letters to all who we thought would participate in the week, like Youth groups, CDOs [Community Development Officers], youth owning small businesses, youths, administrators, religious leaders, and all individuals among others.
We carried out good mobilization for the youth through making posters, a banner and broadcasting on our local radio- Lugazi Broadcasting station.
Almost every body we invited as our guest speakers turned on except community development officers [CDOs] who apologized for not attending.
For this workshop we started by informing the audiences the background and achievements of Y.E.U, then we proceeded by unveiling the staff and board of Y.E.U.
We had good and inspirational messages from O.C station Lugazi Town Council [LTC], current mayor for LTC, youth example Mr. Paul of NISSI Artist, and basic poverty alleviation techniques and measures from Youth Empowered Uganda representatives.
The recorded attendance of all who participated in the LYW was 58 individuals. The area aspiring politicians blessed the workshop by there presence; Mr. Ssali Barker, Ms. Mugwera Christine, Mr. Zirabamuzale Hassan and many others.
We ended the workshop by highlighting the available opportunities and businesses to the youth who participated.


Buikwe Youth week
This was organized on 11th December 2010 at Buikwe Town Council hall. As Y.E.U we started our preparation earlier by drafting letters to all who we thought would participate in the week, like Youth groups, CDOs, youth owning small businesses, youths, administrators, religious leaders, and all individuals among others.
We carried out good mobilization for the youth through making posters, a banner and broadcasting on our local radio- Buikwe broadcasting station.

We had good and inspirational messages from Mr Serunjoji, youth examples Mr. Isabirye Eric of Bright future primary school, and basic extreme poverty alleviation techniques and measures from Youth Empowered Uganda representatives.
The recorded attendance of all who participated in the LYW was 78 individuals. The area aspiring politicians blessed the workshop by there presence; Mr. Mutebi David, Ms. Mpiima Dorothy, Mr. Kigongo Mathias and many others.
We ended the workshop by highlighting the available opportunities and businesses to the youth who participated and also getting Y.E.U representative for Buikwe rural area.

For all the youth weeks our aims and objectives were greatly achieved and our theme was properly spelled out to the participants
In addition Y.E.U registered new volunteers and members in these youth weeks.
Skill training in terms of capacity building was extended to the participants
